I am a yoga practitioner, former yoga teacher and yoga enthusiast in general. At different stages of my stroll along the yoga path, I have struggled with the concept of being a “serious” yogini.
I beat myself up about what I should do (daily yoga and meditation practice, eating pure, clean, vegetarian food – the list goes on) and what I shouldn’t do (drink alcohol, eat meat, sugar, late nights, judgment, anger, sorrow, anxiety, vanity – the list goes on).
But I’ve come to think that trying to be someone I’m not is just not possible.
Disclosure: I’ve started this blog as an assignment for the Online Journalism component of a Graduate Certificate in Journalism through the University of Technology, Sydney. But “Follow me” and I’ll keep it going beyond the semester! There’s so much to talk about – yoga is a rich and endlessly fascinating subject.
